Neo Art Nouveau & Art Deco: More Reoccuring Symbols & Imagery
Art Nouveau & Art Deco was a decorative and illustrative style of art in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Gustav Klimt and Alfons Mucha were leaders of these art movements. Now, I'm seeing their style and these movements inspiring contemporary art and fashion. Their beauty of women, nature, flowers and arabesque lines are hard for many artists to resist. The above left painting is by Mucha and the above right one is by Klimt. Below are examples of their reoccurring imagery in contemporary art or what I call "Neo Art Nouveau & Art Deco". Some of it is street art and some are comic book covers. But it is everywhere.
